Cppcheck announces its participation at CppCon 2024, and as part of the conference the Cppcheck team will deliver a special presentation on the history and evolution of Cppcheck, detailing its journey and contributions to improving code quality in C++.
Founder and lead developer Daniel Marjamäki will share insights from 17 years of developing the popular static analysis tool. The talk will focus on the guiding philosophy of Cppcheck: minimizing false positives and ensuring ease of use. He will discuss the challenges of balancing easy configuration with potential trade-offs, such as lower recall, and how the strict definition of false positives ensures Cppcheck only flags real issues without warning about functional, well-written code.
CppCon is the leading event dedicated for the C++ community, featuring in-depth technical sessions, keynote presentations, and opportunities to learn and collaborate with leading professionals. CppCon 2024 will take place in Aurora, Colorado from September 15-20, 2024, bringing together the brightest minds in C++ development.
